A comprehensive account of an unusual season by a committed supporter who, I suspect, hopes that this may break the long Championship drought for his beloved Lancashire. While the majority of the book could be easily found in other standard books of reference, the profiles of every individual player who made an appearance for Lancashire are the highlight of the book. A modest price could give supporters and other interested parties enjoyment and pause for reflection.
